Disk Aid: System Cleaner App Reviews

Ive been a long time user of Disk Doctor and own a number of other apps by these guys and I have to say that this is the best one yet! You not only get the amazing functionality of Disk Doctor but you get FIVE OTHER APPS! This app has helped me clear almost 50 GB of junk off my computer, and has helped me figure out what files to move to my external to free up even more space. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to free up space before upgrading to El Capitan! Amazing!

It works fairly well, minus the uninstaller. Failed to remove any app due to permission issues. Needs admin password to be added. this is why i declined the 5 star rating. Needs work still. for me trashcan works well after add-on was installed. fix this issue and i’ll rate it 5 star.

I have a number of Fiblab apps and have found each one of them very useful. However, Disk Aid is the one with the highst overall utility value for me, especially the Disk Cleaner and the Duplicate Finder elements which cleaned up signficiant disk space for me. I highly recommend Disk Aid.

This is a great app! I didn’t expect it to have all these features, and actually do it’s jobs perfectlly! Thanks for the app, besides that it is pretty cheap

Please update the app so that it allows application uninstallation. I have not been able to use this feature due to ‘permission restrictions’ and does not give you an option to type in your administrator password to work. Other than this is a great app, very clean and specific.

I have used several different applications over the years to do everything that this single app accomplishes. The app covers all the bases. For example, when deleting applications, if Disk Aid comes upon a file/folder that it cannot delete (i.e. does not have permission), it will not skip over it but rather notify you and provide a direct link to that folder so you can delete it yourself. Overall, this program really covers all of the bases that usually takes several programs to do.

Complete waste of money

This app has really helped me out. My Mac runs a whole lot smoother than before on every aspect. Price is a little steep but I can’t complain too much. If you are having promblems with you computer speed, you need this.

I’m actually very happy with this purchase. The software is stable, clear about what it is removing, and easy to use. I also love the look of it. Thanks to this program I was able to reduce my Mac management apps from 3 to 1, saving space and adding convince. The only thing I have an issue with is the backup reminders that appear for every action you take. I do appreciate the precaution, but an option to disable this would be great. ** Update ** After using the disk cleaner function with application caches checked I had to reinstall virutally every app store purchased software. They all gave the same error, something along the lines of blah blah, app is damaged, reinstall. Use with caution! Outside of this, I still hold to my original review, I just won’t use this to clean out my cache files...

I like everything these guys develop for Mac people. This is a great all around system check and cleaner.

This app doesn’t eliminate a recurring bug fixing add.

I’m totally happy with this. It does everything I need and some things I wouldn’t think of. The interface is beautiful and clear. No negatives, all positives.

Does next to nothing…for me very bad..I see others having a fine time?

In general it is a useful one stop shop to do a handful of functions that you can easily do with the most rudementry knowledge of how your system works. That said, I know not everyone knows how to clean their computer of unneeded files. So, I guess for that reason it is a service to society that society may have actually needed. What I am personally looking for is software that can access and clean my Macbook Pro’s deep registry, give me access to my root start up files, (marking those which are corrupt), and finally do the same with my computers Activity Monitor Processese. It is like fishing in the dark on a stormy night trying to figure my way through cleaning my computers Activity Monitor. So, I favorable review for this program indeed, but a plea to anyone out there in nomansland to steer me in the righgt direction if they know of solutions to my deeper needs. Thank you :)

With in minutes of running the dupplicate finder this app locks up my computer (Twice). Do not purchase with out consideration for the $15 price.

I do not find this to be very useful. Wish I had saved my money!

This tool is not it’s said to be it give false percentages on battery life tested this with new pc and old and it gave same reading . guess you need a tweak update for that option… the problem is the battery health is not giving correct readings.

Great Program, A+, would purchase again. If you’re a little AR about keeping things tidy, this is the program for you.
